Stage

stage 1

A stage is used to represent a phase of the case. Every plan item is contained in a stage and cannot become Available until its containing stage becomes Active.

Active Stage

As discussed here, a stage becomes Active as soon as it is Available, which occurs when its containing stage becomes active and any entry criteria are satisfied.

Stage Attributes

stage 2
  • Required: The stage must be completed for its containing stage to be completed

  • Manual activation: Once enabled, the stage is waiting for a manual activation to become activated, instead of becoming automatically activated as soon as it is enabled

  • Repeat: A stage set to be repeatable can have multiple instances created

  • Auto complete: The stage is automatically completed when all its required plan items are completed

Completed Stage

Conditions for stage completion depend on various attributes.

A stage transitions from Active to Completed…

  • … automatically when marked Autocomplete AND no contained plan items are Active AND all contained plan items marked Required are Completed or Terminated OR…

  • … manually by case worker action when no contained plan items are Active AND all contained plan items marked Required are either Completed or Terminated.

Terminated Stage

A stage transitions to Terminated…

  • …by satisfaction of an exit criterion, OR…

  • … when its containing stage is Terminated.
