Link Event
Link events come in pairs, intermediate throwing and intermediate catching events. They are not true events, merely "drawing aids" used to hide sequence flows in the diagram. A throwing Link event Link start and a catching Link event Link end sharing the same link name imply a sequence flow connection from Link start to Link end. This can simplify complex diagrams, or allow a single process level to be drawn on two separate pages with a sequence flow between them implied by the Link event pair.
