Relation View

The relation view presents a matrix depicting on its axes two different types of model elements. The relation view can be accessed from the View ribbon.

At the matrix intersection, there is either a relation identifier (a letter) for relation that can have multiple types or a checkmark ( ) for relations that are not typed. The supported relationships and types depend on the tool.

For example, in the Workflow Modeler, an activity vs. resource relation matrix is depicted with the possible RACI relationships (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed).

Clicking in the matrix intersection brings a dialog to define the relationship between the two elements.

A button with the highlight icon ( ) is available next to the axis definition. This button highlights rows or columns that contain an element without relationship.
