Model and Element Graph Views

Insight Analyzer provides two detailed graph views for investigating relationships.

The Model Dependencies view focuses on how models relate to one another. The Element Relations view focuses on how individual elements connect across the graph.

Model Dependencies View

Open the model dependencies view from the place view by selecting a model in the Open a Model dialog.

This view provides:

  • model-to-model dependency relations for the selected model

  • drill-down to element relations through the ribbon or the contextual menu

The Home ribbon includes an Element command in this view to open the element relations graph for the current model.

Element Relations View

Open the element relations view from the place view by selecting an element in the Open an Element dialog.

This view provides:

  • incoming and outgoing relations for the selected element

  • access to element details from the graph

  • go back to model dependencies through the ribbon

The Home ribbon includes a Model command in this view to open the model dependencies graph for the model that owns the current element.

Details

The element relations view also supports a details dialog for the selected node.

The details panel includes related elements, supporting information, and a direct link back to the source model.

Filtering the Graph

Both graph views include the same filter panel. You can filter by model type, node type, and relation type.
